About Discovery Donor Center

Our specialized collection centers collect blood and biospecimen products from healthy donors in the community. Many of the researchers we support need these samples from a diverse population to support the development of new therapies, treatments or diagnostic tests. Your donation supports leading research efforts in oncology and other serious conditions!

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

• Must meet state age of consenting adult
• Minimum weight requirement: 110lbs 
• No history of HIV, Hepatitis B, or Hepatitis C 
• Willingness to complete a medical health questionnaire 
• Photo ID 
• A valid social security number for tax purposes. 
• Reliable transportation 
• Access to personal contact phone number and email address 

Donor eligibility is at the sole discretion of Discovery Donor Center. 

DONATION TYPES

Discovery is not your traditional blood donation center.

During scheduling, you may be asked to donate various types of samples dependent on the needs of our researchers. All donors are compensated for their time and effort related to the different donation types- including, but not limited to:

• Whole Blood
• Other Biospecimens:
  • Saliva
  • Urine
  • Nasal Swabs
  • And more!

Total compensation varies and is dependent on all donation types made during a single visit.
